The bus rally will be held at Barleylands Farm Park, to the North of Basildon Town Centre.
If you’ve been there before you’ll already know what a fantastic place Barleylands is; if you’ve not been there before, why not?!
They have around 60 craft business’s on site hand making anything from dress’s to glassware to wood & metal items and anything & everything in between. They also have a small farm squarely aimed at the little ones (there is a charge for this), tractor rides and a small railway. The facilities already onsite at Barleylands will compliment the bus rally and offer a great alternative for those members of the family that are maybe not so interested in just the buses.
Turning to the bus rally itself, I have hired Barleyland’s showground and I intend to park all buses facing in a westerly direction to benefit photographers with sales stands along the northern perimeter. However, should we need to switch to wet weather mode as we did with the first rally in 2016, it may be a case of making some compromises.....
Talking of 2016, have you seen our feedback page? You can find it by clicking here.....
As with 2016 there’ll be a FREE 15 minute bus service linking Barleylands Farm Park with the bus station in the centre of town, and new for 2017, an additional half hourly service linking Barleylands with Billericay railway station. Full details for the FREE bus services can be found by clicking here.
Whilst you are welcome to arrive at Barleylands Farm Park using the FREE bus service, you are just as welcome to come by car as Barleylands have a massive car park (for the directions check out the how to get there page). In fact if you’d like to arrive a bit early, before the rally officially starts at 10am, you can check out Barleylands Farm Park’s very own car boot sale.
